...that's the only reason I even considered getting a GSX-R.. You can swap up! I don't know, off the top of my head, if you can do that with any other bike. Probably not.

 

doesnt it take special mounts to do that? i thought that the frames arent the same and that its just a 'swapping up' type thing.

also, has that been done alot? im sure it will be fine, but im curious to know if the frame can handle that type of power? either way, i bet thats one hell of a sleeper.

 

Yes you do need special mounts. 3gturbo made them, and he did the swap. As far as I know it the first 04 like this. And the frame can take it fine. 3gturbo did this to a 01 also.

 

Ooh, I didn't think about the year of it being an issue but I know the GSX-R's are relatively universal between the different models.

 

actually, suzuki tried to keep the 600/750's pretty different from the 1000's.

 

^^^^That's about right. They'er all different and some parts are universal.
