I actually just finished installing my fmax kit on my 98, it's been sitting in my floor for almost a year. I am enjoying it so far, I have a few things to iron out. The only thing I dislike is the stalling issue, many people with ka turbos have it and it doesn't look like I am going to escape it either.

Future plans: nissan motorsports cams, hks ignition, larger turbo. (currently a t3/t04b h-3 trim stage 3 wheel with a .48 a/r at .65 bar, great for driveability but I would like to make the most hp a can at 1 bar on the stock motor)

nope.

T04e compressors are 6 blade

T04b compressors are 7 blade

60-1 62-1 are 7 blade To4B compressor wheels. They are usually housed in a TO4s housing or a T04e housing(hi-fi)

GT25 , GT30, and GT40 Honeywell(garrett) compressors are all 6 blade and outflow T04e compressors/T04B by at least 10-20% when equally compared.

So what you're saying is that I should get a Garrett

Umm, no. That motor is capable of making unbelievable power, but is not the strongest in stock form. Not trying to downplay it at all, but it is not superior to the VG30DET.

The Skyline IS a badass car, no doubt. But whereas it is worshipped by import groupies in the US, it is just another average car in Japan and the UK.

Well then I am content with both being a bastard and driving Nissan's bastard. Show me another Nissan motor that can soundly support 650rwhp without any internal work.

I love all Nissan performance-oriented motors. But give credit where it is due.

For the record, if you ask Nissan what the baddest motor they ever made was, they'll point you to the 350Z.

the 350Z? that's just silly.

this shouldn't even be an issue. I thought it was pretty much common knowledge, the two strongest 6 cyl engines out of japan are the 2jz and rb26.
Hell I've even seen a few top jspec tuning shops swap sr20s into z32 chassis since according to them "it has more potential than the vg30".

Not really. It makes more power than any stock Nissan motor, second only to the VG30DET. And it is N/A, so it can be argued that it is superior to the Z32's engine. Nissan's engineers certainly think so. I believe they even boasted that in the 350Z brochure.

You are right, it shouldn't be an issue. Do your research and you will see that the VG30 is much stronger than the RB26. You and I both like to argue when we think we are right. But this is one you cannot win if the argument is to be based on fact rather than opinion.

Show me please. SR20 swaps into Z32's are frowned upon and the notion is laughed at by true 300ZX tuners. I have seen an RB26 swap into one, but it was ridiculous and probably built "just because". While I must admit it was a very cool creation, it required complete customization inside and out of the vehicle and was not the least bit practical.

I admit you have a much better foundation in general knowledge about cars than I do. But in this category, you are mistaken.
