That sucks. But if this brings you to finding an 03 Cobra (modded or not) for 20k, then consider this a blessing.

 

Maybe I should go buy a Honda instead and wear my hat wrong. At least I won't have to watch my back when around other Honda owners.

 

The loan I have been approved for requires that the car be 99+. Nice Cobra but can't get her.

 

I changed my mind on the 03 Cobra. It's an awesome deal and the guy is straight forward but I'm a cheap bastard and don't want 400+ a month car payments.

Dunno yet. I gotta sit down and figure some numbers. They want $2000 for her. If I do that, I will end up having 2 car loans.

Other news is that I just got back from Ohio this morning with my new car. I saw her on Ebay and seemed to be too good of a deal. Called the guy and was sent a carfax. No problems at all on the title.

For those that might be interested, he also has a beautiful 2001 Z06 Corvette that is absoluteley PERFECT!!! I didn't see one flaw on that car when I was up there. He told me that he wants 31K for it and has less than 5,000 miles. The item number for that one is...

Congrats on the new car... only buy it back if you have the connections to properly part it out or the money to fix it fully to re-sell.

If you feel they've offered you a fair market value for the car I'd just let them take it and put that money into your new ride.

Oh... $31k is way too high for an '01 even w/ < 5000 miles. Try more like $27 or $28k.

 

Sucks on the loss, but congratulations on the new car. Post pics when you take them, I think we all want to see the new hotness.
