Really a pointless argument - I posted exactly as I was told from the first source, small town in Nebraska + Toyota Dealership = you get raped. And if you still want to discuss the issue:
I'm not reading from an article where a bunch of hearsay is being passed around. I'm telling you my experience, working in a dealer for 3 years and giving you real price figures.
The entire battery unit costs $3,100. Labor should really be no more than 10 hours and that would be quite high.
I have never seen one fail that wasn't under warranty. And we service a lot of them.
