Are you sure about the knock sensor not being called for. I had to wire one up in my 94 ex w/ jdm gsr swap. Ran like shit and no vtec until I wired it up.

P72 should look for a knock sensor, all OBD1/IIa/IIb DOHC VTEC ECUs have a knock sensor board as far as I know.

Your correct. See if a friend or something has a p28. P28's do not have knock boards, and if both ecus are chipped, swap the chips. If you are close to the Norfolk/va beach area I'll be glad to lend you a hand. I have a chip burner as well.

Knock is wired up and the computer is stock so i dont know. I might have stumbled onto something though. The head might be my problem. The head might have an 1/8" NPT somewhere that it should be when its not using an ls or b20 block!!! THis kinda shit happens when you take on a job and try to sort through other peoples wrong doings!!!

Yeah, if there isn't an oil line from the block to the head, you need one.

well i took the head off and jerked the plug out and now the car runs fine vtec and everything. So glad that is over with! THanks anyway for help
