maaco paint job for 1000$??
+1 nftuatn will be painting my car here soon if he is still up for the trade when im finally ready to get it done.
otherwise. i have a $1300 paintjob from maaco and was decent but still had slight orange peel and overspray but to your average person you could not tell anything was wrong with it and it looks pretty decent.

I wouldn't waste ur time wit macco paint. They use 1 stage paint which last 2-3 years at the most. It fades like crazy n tha sun. They do sand it an prime it but they do a half ass job on it. They use shitty primer. Jus save ur money n get a 2 stage paint job.
Each maaco is independently owned an operated so your results can vary. My Camaro, which has been featured in a car magizine, was painted at the Hampton Maaco. I happened to know the owner, Dale Blankenship well from autocrossing with him. It has held up well for the past 9 years. The only issue has been the white stripe on nose chips a little easily, but alot of that came from the roadcourse. Dale offered to redo that but I have not taken him up on the offer yet. To be honest though, I most likely would not have gone to a Maaco if I had not known him previously but happy that I did.

maaco is a hit or miss.
they can get decent paint, which might come in the 1000job(all depends on the maaco you go to)
usually maaco is decent paint job and shitty body work or vice versa(usually its shitty body work). if you know the painter at maaco is decent, id suggest you do the body work yourself or have a friend if they can do it

i know a couple people who used to do "prep work" at mako in hampton.....
notice the " "
even they will tell you everything is done half ass. they try to move so many cars through there that there's no way in hell they have enough time to do quality work. steer clear of mako
btw Blankenships an ass... even if his shop did do good work i wouldn't take anything i owned there; just because of how i've seen/heard him act with people. but thats just my .02

My car was originally gold.. Ive had a Maaco paint job on my car for 300 bucks.. the paint started to fade after 3 months.. since it was on a 2 year warranty, they painted it again and had no problem since.. still to this day, ive had no problems.. but if you are willing to pay a $1,000, you should go someplace else.. ive heard some good stuff about "stock or modified"

^ Doesn't look too bad. I believe I had a car painted there a while back and was not pleased with it at all. I think their work is rather shitty/rushed. Personally, I'd not recomment going there.
