He speaks the truth. You might could get away with it if it was like a transmission problem and you had an intake because they are completely separate from each other, but if your having an engine issue with an intake.. not good. Only mod I have heard of thats almost completely warranty safe is an axle back exhaust, but if they are real tough that might come back to haunt you...

The warranty cannot be voided because of a mod, but a specific claim can be denied if it is proven that the mod caused the problem. Read a book.
