some factory springs will do that. some porsches have threaded bodies from the factory and jacking the car up and takeing the load of the spring will make it loose and you can easily adjust the coller. i have seen it with my own 2 eyes. so you would fail a bone stock factory car? wow you are the dumbest inspector on the planet and probably enjoy the taste of dicks.

It's just an extra nut to use as a jam nut. Just a little extra security against loosening.

i have this same setup on my 92 gsr though i dont believe my struts are for a dc. but when i jack it up the springs do have play in them and that is with my collar about halfway down the threads. it is a nice setup and handles good for the driving i do. the only problem i have is the botom out in the front on hard bumps. i recommend extended tophats if you can. i plan on getin some for mine. but that comes after the completion of my k swap.
