The on going saga continues.. if you dont post a spot that you think is good and safe, then it will be you and 2 or 3 of your friends standing in the cold doing nothing. At least with a decent amount of people you can "mingle", sometimes point and laugh, and see people you havent seen since the PTOWN days. Yes, a dumbfuck driving down the road will always wanna roll in, acting like a hard ass, but thats the way it goes. This is the city, there are people out and about. I dont even own a car anymore, 2 SUV's, but I still like to go out and say "hey", after all I've been to every spot from Nimmo Pkway WalMart all the way up to TNT motorsports since 2000. I've met a lot of people and its a good time. Everyones so uptight about "posting a spot"...they dont last but a weekend so who cares anymore.
Has the scene been reduced to if you are not part of some underground "Team" you can't hang out anymore? Maybe the weekend gatherings need to be better planned, but I can recall several successful organized daytime meets, usually on weekends, that had huge turnouts, great food, and a lot of camaradrie. Anyone remember the DragVa sponsored BBQ at PA park after the Ptown crash? It was a legitimate event and took no more than a thread on Events Section to put together. It will never be like it "used" to, ever. But deep down behind the snide remarks and comments you regulars like to front around here, we ALL enjoy the car scene.
