H22's also have the problem. There have been several members on a few prelude forums I am on that have had the same problems.. afterall, its the same block.. just a longer stroke, which only makes the problems worse, but it is def a problem with H22's as well. There was an h23 in Japan, in the Prelude S(they used f22b VTEC's in the SI models), 93-95.. There were also H23's in parts of Europe in Preludes and Accords.

so basically h22 > h23, atleast NA.. of course, the highest HP turbo H series motor is an H23 block/h22 head best of both worlds

Anything going on tomarrow ? I forgot the mbc too lol.

Its a h22 son you know them the Ill Honda power plant h23>h22 just because of that fact. LOL I said it

dunno, but I am gonna find the F*#$ problem tonight, I havent been able to even mess with it the past few days.. just gonna pull the injector plug and see if it stops ticking loudly...

Well...


I adjust valve clearances, and the #1 intake valves were WAAAAY outta spec.. as in probably 1/16" or more valve lash.. yea that could have been why...

problem fixed!
