Stock 2000 S2K's sell for anywhere from 17-20k. It's not just KBB, it's what they actually go for.
my supra turbo kbb's @ 14k but dont sell for that cheap (im selling mine at 22k and for my condition and mileage, that is cheap in the current market), the srt4 kbbs @ 19k. according to kbb the srt4 is worth more than my supra........ same thing with th s2k. kbb is a terrible way to determine the "value" of someones car. it doesnt factor in rarity, supply and demand ect.

Agreed. I sold my TA for 18K even though KBB said it was worth 15K. It's not super rare, but it's hard to find an M6 with lower miles in good shape around here for a cheap price.
A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. End of story. KBB is a good way of determining the worth in a general market, not taking into account exceptional vehicles or in your area. I can get a cherry Foxbody for 3k in california. Here, they're going for 6k.

Yup, Shawn's got it. It's all about what someone will pay for it.

actually its NOT a good way to determine its value. type r's are blue booking a decent amount less for what they go for, supras blue book for ALOT less than they go for. the list goes on and on. its a way for the bank to say hey, this is all im going to approve you for. NO WHERE in this country will you be able to buy a 93 toyota supra TURBO with 77,000 miles in good condition for 13k. the "general market" would start at about 20k for the the car. and could sell as high as 27k. BIG difference in price dont you think? kbb is a terrible way to say "hey, my car is worth more than yours." look up a 98 supra turbo in kbb with low mileage and tell me if you can find one that cheap anywhere ever.
BUT this is a useless arguement, i dont know why i keep getting sucked back into.
