Actually, gangbangers' sole purpose of existence is to kill as many of the rival gang's members as possible. Also to rob random ass people to make enough money to get by. A gun or knife simply gets the job done easier and faster than fighting.
Don't get me wrong though, I think they should all die also. I really like that idea with the US flag and the middle east, lol.
