sr20det vs. rb26dett
accutally i would do a 2jz. you can do it way way cheaper and have a better motor in the end.i love nissan but noone can deny that the 2jz is a better motor in stock or modified form. i have seen a few RB swaps and they are not hard to do(the wireing isnt too fun though). and i definatly would not let jgy touch any car i own, that shop is as big of a joke as RPM in richmond.
Completely agree w/ the jgy thing though , they'll take 3 months to do anything to your car and then they won't stand behind their work. What a shit hole!!!!!!!
I went to high school with a kid who had a RB25 in a S14 (graduated from Tabb). It took him a while to get everything together and put in, but its possible. It really all depends on how much you want to make, what you want to do with it, and how dedicated you are to the swap. Also keep in mind that it will be a bit harder to find parts without having to order them. I mean I've seen a SR swap that took 2 days, and been party to a B series swap that took a little over 18 hours. It would have gone faster if we didn't stop to get drunk.
You'll get tired of turning on your electric fan to keep your motor running cool... and you'll have to solve the shitty oil flow problems the RB has in hard cornering.
Ok I'm gonna go ahead and be the guy that always chimes in with this:
Would you consider an LSx motor? More proven than the SR, MUCH lighter than the RB. It's just a 240, not like an RX7 or anything so hopefully I don't offend too many people's religious beliefs by suggesting this...
