1984 datsun s12 200sx drift build
i dont live with a dad like some people do, i started with a 140 piece husky tool set and a craftsman jack my mom bought me.
i get paid 7.25 an hour, and i buy all my tools. but after awhile family and friends gain reconition that you are attempting, so on christmas or my birthday, or on specil occasions i usually get tools instead of anything i could ever want. etc. and every penny, and every amount of work goes towards tools, and using those i try to make my own tools to save as much money as i can. i dont even go out to eat, eating fast food when you dont have too, might be bad for you, but also kills your wallet. you can do so much by cutting that down
ive only been working on cars for roughly a year
i joined my first forum april last year, and picked up my shelll (aka this now swapped car) not knowing how to change my brakes
i basically sat in the gutted shell, and said wtf why! lol
i didnt actually get started, till about 6 months later, when i had read up forums and posted a bunch of shit, and asked HUNDREDS of questions
heres a 33 page build, i dont think you have to register to read
http://www.club-s12.org/forums/index...pic=21975&st=0
my first build thread
but it basically shows me not knowing jack shit the opening threads, trying to attempt timing and all that shit
i dont even get a engine, into my garage until like page 17 lol
but ya, its about effort, and how far, and how much do want to sacrifce
and how many times, are you willing to step into deep water, when you can fuck something up very expensive, or save a whole shitload and come out on top.
but this car is my toy, ment for track mainly, all the un safe ghetto shit is not hurting bystanding pedastrians, so i ahve less worries there. but i still try to maintain a essential need of having a stable enough car, to let me perform with others
management, im a alcoholics anonymous member, have been for 4 years, when i was 14 i got some felony charges yadayada, and i cleaned my act up. but i realize i have a additive personality and i can do ANYTHING i could ever want with some management
im not saying im the best or anything, and theres lots of days where i dont feel like working o shit
but being able to drive a car that was once some shell sitting in north carolina is such a beautiful thing
here are some early pics
after i pulled the motor with my husky set, it felt so fucking cool! haha

you are wrong
to get into the pros series its a recommendation basically, a bunch of people recommended me after they saw me drift the s12 for the first time, and even a few thought i was in the pros already...
but at the same time you have to be placing..
by then i had one first place again and jens (summit point owner) promoted me on the spot as i got the trophy etc.
so i mean if you get first twice in a row, its pretty much a given.
there were 50 contenstants that day, and only like 10-15 drifting were the ones competing in the pros catagory
the big "deal" about pros, if you win, get like 1st, 2, or 3 place and if your signed up on d1 underground like i am
every time you win in the pros section you get put in the winners circle, so it does matter to win in the pros, and comparison to the joes
i did, get 100 bux off next event too for first, i also got 100 bux of first last time also
