. honda tuner did a write up on it, and after the 50shot, the car had 170WHP(peak) and 210WTQ (peak). so im hyped. im hoping for 150whp-160whp. here is the article. http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/tech/0203ht_nx/

How much WHP does your ride have stock?

I've got an AEM SRI and a DC TCS catback exhaust and I'd be lucky if I picked up 5whp. The computer is ULEV, so it readjusts the fuel maps and stuff because of the larger volume of air.
If you really want to tune it, you're going to need to get an Apex'i VAFC2/SAFC2. If you've got an EX, get the VAFC2. It'll allow you to change your VTEC engagement points, along with fuel curves and whatnot. That's what I'm planning on doing.
The only real way you're going to get any power out of these things are going to be through a turbo setup or K20 swap. You can go the nitrous route, but be careful. I've talked to too many guys that I've blown their D17 on the giggle gas.

I knew there was something about that with them being a ULEV that it makes it real hard get a lot of WHP with just basic bolt-ons. Motor swap and forced induction are the best ways to go.
If anybody is actually interested in the new 01+ Civics, check out 7thgencivic.com. Tons of information for the car.
Lots of people are pissed that we're not getting as good performance from bolt ons as the older D series motors. If the computer wasn't so restrictive, it'd be great. So now I save up for some FI, or if I can find a K20 somewhere, a swap.
