Not envy. Probably more towards the attention thing. We like saying we (sorry, I mean "they") have the best car ever built for the money, and don't like hearing otherwise.

 

motorex says that the skyline being released into the stats in 07 right now is just a rumor, no matter where you read it or who told you, its just rumor and has been like that since skylines first starting gaining popularity in the states. Motorex is licesensed in the states to convert skylines to us spec and the process takes 4 months to do. A 99 R34 from motorex cost 80k+. RHD has nothing to do with it. Its a long process to get one approved by DOT and alot of work. Instead of everyone starting a thread, just check out their website or call them.

 

The current skyline in japan is the G35. They have nissan and skyline badges instead of the g35. So the 2007 will not be based on the G35, it will be based on the Current Skyline. And I'm sure the ones that get imported here will be wearing an Infinaty badge.

some high level nissan rep says that they are comming over here, and at least one of the gtrs being tested is left hand drive...

I heard that North America Nissan will actually release the Skyline to the states in 2007 sporting the Nissan R35 badge. But it is unknown what engine it will sport, V6 TT or V8 N/A

Thats what people want. And they aren't just different trim levels. You can get the Skyline as a GTR or GTT, etc. They are two totally different cars. Japan has been getting both(R34 and V35) since like '99 or so.
