I am hoping VMP will turn a blind eye on the cage factor with it being a rental, I will talk to there management and see what is said about it. Since we are getting 100 people or more off the street for a day/night.

There will be no checking for SFI parts, i am all about being safe. but its hard enough as it is getting guys to show up at the track for something like this without throwing a bunch of bs in there faces.
Since when do auto cars need to be on 17's... Very few of the auto cars in question came STOCK with 17's. You're loosing me now

No Offense Mikey but these are some total BS rules.

Not going to enforce safety, Limit fuel, 17in rims cause its a auto? Do I have to run in reverse cause i have Nitrous and RWD?

Good luck and I doubt VMP will be "Loose" on any rules. They just got their IHRA back after loosing the NHRA. They have major IHRA events planned and wont want to risk it.

Good Luck.

yeah that confused me too. I'm on 16s. But I also have an illegal tire at this point based on the rules so far, so I don't know. I think the rules aren't finished yet for wheel/tire stuff.

The only thing I can see being "loose" about is allowing a car to run a few thenths quicker than the cage is rated for (like 9.8ish for a 6pt or 8.4 for a Cert'd 10pt) or things like a stock dampner or flexplate.

I understand your concern for the safety rules and I'm all about safety too, I don't want fluids scattered all over the track any more than the next guy, I'm just looking for them to take it easy on the cage a little. Putting a jungle gym in my car just isn't worth it when I only run at 2-3 events per year. And one of those events I'll only get one shot at I'm sure because I know I'll get rule-changed out the next year if I do well.

can't even see my flexplate without taking the transfer case off. I don't see them trying that hard, haha.

BS,haha. Stay at richmond and enforce safety all you want. These are everyday street cars, not everyone thinks like you richard. Alot of people including me dont want bars in there cars, i have no problem putting a 6 point in there, but a window net, harnesses, and all the other bs that goes along with it im not interested in. i dont feel like monkeying my way out my own car everywere i stop. and i dont want bars by my bare head on the street.
to be honest your yellow car is not a street car imo, and it wont be in 95% of the people showing up for this either. I cant allow you to run and not let imports in the same boat as you not run. Sorry, its just the way it is.

For everyone one else, i screwed up on the 17 tire thing. i think it was just for auto domestic boosted cars. i will have to go back and look.

i say whatever gasoline fuel you can run. if Youre permitted meth, whats the difference?

keep it true street rules (of the nmra): no lexan, ss, radials of any size, no refuels, no laptops during the 3 passes, and no lifting the hood till after all 3 passes completed. its a tried and true set of rules that are the basic standard for most of these type events.

but the camo car will not be playing. i doubt my changes will be sorted out by then. but def sounds like a fun event to atleast watch. plus im looking to do some more class racing this year, so gotta save the ole warbird lol.
