Regardless of how you use the vouch system, why would you vouch for someone you don't know, just because they're selling a high priced item?
Wow..... that is the point he or she should have a friend that is established in the vadriven community(That others may know other than the thread starter) give him or her a vouch stating that this individual is a stand up person selling an expensive item.
you wont vouch for them but any other established member with some time on the books could and there for legitimizing the F/s post
I understand that, and I understand how the vouch system works. Maybe I just don't get his original question. He said something along the lines of "can we make it a rule that if a newbie tries to sell a high priced item, an established member vouches for them"
Question...can we make a rule on the for sale sections as a whole ......If a unknown person (ie. Newbie) posting a high priced item f/s that they get a vouch from an established member of vadriven on the thread?
If someone is going to buy a high dollar item solely on vouches from random people on a forum they don't have much hope to begin with i.e. they need to check it out themselves anyway.
Its up to the buyer to determine what information they want from a seller. If it is vouches, so be it, but we won't be making something that complicated (in how we actually implement it) a rule at this time.

I've just made each prefix a different color in the hopes that they're more recognizable from each other for those that like to browse instead of search.
