Here is the current update on the Team Challenge:

For the BCC event, the team challenge will be an informal challenge amongst the dragva board participants. Let me know tomorrow at the event who is on your team and what class they are running. When the final results are posted from the club, I will do the PAX calculations and post the result of the challenge on this board. I do not want our challenge to interfere with the running of the BCC event.

For the TSCC event, the challenge has the blessing of the club president as long as I am the one handling the results. Once again, our challenge should not interfere with the event and the Winter 4 points race. The official word is that we will try it out informally. If it is a success, we will do a future Team Challenge as part of an upcoming TSCC event.

 

I think that this will be a fun twist. Extra frendly competition is always fun and makes you push yourself harder. This sounds like it will be fun. I just hope no one including myself gets caught up in the competition, drives sloppy and develope grudges cause that can really ruin the entire point of this challenge. Good thinking. Has this been done before?

 

Hey Trip, let's get this straight, if you plan to be part of Team BMW, THERE ARE NO POINTS FOR SECOND PLACE!!!! Don't forget it !!!!!! (j/k.... ). It is good to see that this seems like it will take off. Nothing like a little extra competition.

And BTW, we still need a 4th driver. I think we can pick one up at the BCC event. I already have 2 names in mind to ask to fill the spot.

 

I attended an event with other TSCC (Tarheel SCC) about 2 years ago where they did this. They had about 8 teams, some in costumes. The biggest problem was calculating the scores but everyone seemed to have fun.

how will this work, is there some kind of points system? an average of the finishing places?
