FUCK PIGS, I'm so sick and fuckin tired of cops in Roanoke, especially Vinton. If you have any type of aftermarket exhaust DONT go through Vinton. Anyone who knew me when I had the RX-7, well Nikki you did and of course Jason and everyone did, but I got at least 6 damn exhaust from Vinton cops and my fuckin exhaust wasn't even loud. Cops are becoming biligerent ass holes because they have absolutely nothing to do but fuck with us cause there isnt shit for crime in this shit hole of a town. Well I feel better thats my ranting and raving for the night.

 

i agree, the cops harass kids because they have nothing better to do, but ive found that regardless how loud my car is, they only pull me over when im doing something wrong

 

Have you even ever gotten a ticket for illegal exhaust? I mean we all know your car can be loud when it wants to be.

As long as you're not doing something stupid or "suspicious" they will usually leave you alone. Just past experience.

 

^^^ Wr0nG!!! i was just driving down main st. in salem not speeding or anything, radio turned d0wn and the pig still pulled me over and gave me a ticket! but i got rid of the stright through and put a flowmaster muffler on the lude and the judge dismissed it.

 

It all gets narrowed down to if you drive a domestic or an import.When I had my firebird I had a magnaflow catback on it. Cops would not fuck with me. Once I got rid of it and got my talon. I changed the exhaust.. and turbocharged cars are not loud at all. I started getting pulled over left and right. Finally a state tropper started pulling me over everytime he saw me just to check to see if I still had my exhaust on there. The last time I saw him, I went to court for a illegal exhaust ticket. The judge asked me if I was going to change my exhaust.. I told him, "No, I have no intentions on changing it".. well the judge didn't like it but the trooper stopped pulling me over after that. Needless to say I got a hefty fine... oh well.

They can be, but not compared to your typical honda going down williamson.

 

Umm.... I would beg to differ with that. Just ask Chris or Joey.

But, I also have to add that I have never had the first problem with police. In Salem I know them all, so that may be why. But in Roanoke, I think a lot of it is that I behave myself and don't give them any reason to pay extra attention to me.

 

That is comparing them to hondas... They really aren't. If you take a stock turbo car. Change the muffler on it while keeping the other resonators, Do the same to a civic.. which will be louder? I'm not talking about a built turbo car. Just a simple muffler swap. Well, it may vary between cars.. I know on the dsm's it is pretty quiet while at idle. When you get on it that is a tottally different story.

 

True. I was speaking of my car in particular. And then Joey's car, and then Chris's car. We all shared the community exhaust for a while. VERY loud. Brought fear to the hearts of Mustangs everywhere.

 

well....like stated earlier, if you want to get technical, ALL aftermarket exhausts are illegal....if you want to push the line about that.

it has to be a stock style exhaust. period. if you change the note or tone of the exhaust, you are opening yourself up to getting a ticket. it is one of those things you have to deal with. dont do stupid shit and you wont get pulled over. people that go around talking about how the get "profiled" as a ricer typically did something to make people think that. of course, i dont live in the city, but when i had that ATR exhaust on my car that Cosmo was referring to....i never got pulled for it, and i rode BBurg and roanoke/salem frequently with it. you just have to use common sense....if you see a cop....push the clutch in!

and refering to a cop as a pig really doesnt help your case.....attitude towards the officer is the main reason why people get tickets.
