Underboning the World

So I said that we should ride around the world on 100cc underbones and she said that it was a dumb idea and I said exactly.

My Metropolitan is getting sluggish. I just did a tune up on it: plug, Honda Synthetic oil (not overfilled), Honda air filter, and new gear oil.

It has about 4600 miles on it now. Never have replaced the drive belt/rollers/etc. and it is 100% stock. I fill it with 87 octane and I run Seafoam through the fuel tank and a spray or two of the spray version of Seafoam in the mouth of the carb every now and again.

Any ideas??

^^ is the engine stock?

If not, the warmer weather could be causing you to run too rich.

I would assume that your CVT system components are starting to wear.

Also might not hurt to actually take the carb off and thoroughly clean out the carb.

Yeah, it is completely stock.

I guess I will replace some of the drive components. Should I just go with OEM? Any recommendations for aftermarket?

Perhaps I could clean the carb well, also, but I doubt it's even dirty.

And I can slow down on donuts, too, I guess.

you'd be surprised... even a tiny bit of gunk in a carb can make a big difference on engines this small.

Ordered it, will be here Friday. Going to try and get some mounts made and knock it out this weekend. Got a lot going on though especially with the race car and trying to get it fix before spring fest.
