i can understand a lighter flywheel and such. But i thought a hefty, strong clutch was needed to handle higher hp.
It is a hefty,strong clutch.It's just smaller in diameter than stock.
Obviously the guy's not skimping on anything in the least- why would you think the clutch wasn't just as badass as the rest of the parts?That tiny diameter clutch will also allow a smaller,lighter flywheel,with just minimal outer material to hold the starter ring gear.
why would a clutch plate the size of a cam gear be better?
less rotational mass and having it all closer to the center of rotation = Revs like an R1.
revs will also drop like a brick so for the love of god don't miss a shift.

I figured that it was a quality item like the rest but I've just never seen or heard of that style clutch.
