And that wasn't the highest octane I could find. I could have easily gotten 116oct, just like I said this is the fuel I've ran for quite a few months now, ever since gas prices went stupid high. Now that they have dropped back down somewhat it's making running 93oct more appealing.

i guess your version of street tune is a little bit different than mine...and i would guess alot of other people.
and that difference being 17 points in octane.
Still good #'s though on 110.

any guess's as to what it would put done with 93?

Im not saying its not. I am saying that his/your definition is different than mine...and *probably* alot of other people. And i say that because...
1)Using 110 imo, isn't a readily availble source of fuel for most of the U.S population. It might be for you, and lets say a few people in fredricksburg, but not the majority of the people elsewhere. Anywhere from 87 to 95 (95 because its only 2 points from 93 and im not that anal
) is what i generally accept as a fuel used for a street tune. More or less the proverbial use of "pump gas." Nobody i know would say that 110 was pump gas. 2) If i had to guess where the phrase "street tune" came from, i would guess that it came from the idea that a car is tuned with a long stretch of road, and a full tank of gas pumped from your local gas station. And i think that still holds true today....
3) And you have to admit a car deemed less "streetable" like the enzo has a U.S tune to run on Premium unleaded 93. (shit 91 even...because you know those Cali people have to drive it)
Its not like you/he can't get a 93 tune, but everybody else can't get 110 tune as easily. So i don't see why you two guys are getting so defensive.

I dont really care either way. I never claimed it as a street tune, those words never once came up in this thread. I just simply said for the past 5 months this is the exact fuel that I have been running on the street, if you for some reason don't feel that that is a street tune, thats fine it doesnt really bother me in the least, but I just never claimed anything as a "street tune", those words only appeared in your posts. With that being said I'll probably return to 93oct shortly, at which point Id imagine Id still have more power than 99% of the people I ever encounter. It won't be quite as fast, but it still moves damn quick fo a near 400awhp car which is more than just about every wrx, dsm, and evo says. I went to the dyno to tune for what I felt the best was that I could do at this moment. I didn't attempt to purchase any higher octane gas than I have been running, or generally run at the track when I go. Again, I'm not really worried about it, everyone has their own opinions, and for some reason you seem really down about my dyno which I really don't know why.
Consider this though, 110oct is very easy to acquire and its 5 dollars a gallon. 93oct is around 2.50 a gallon right now. That is 2.50 difference per gallon, or say 37.50 per tank full of gas. Lets try to figure out how many mods it generally takes to gain 40-50awhp and see how many tank fulls it takes to begin to cost more? My guess is it's closer to 1000 bucks, which would come to something rediculous like 30 tankfulls. At 300 miles per tankfull, we're approaching 9000 miles of driving on pure race fuel before it began costing more than it would have otherwise. Not to get into math but I just dont see why race fuel is bashed so much? It's just another mod, only this time you're modding your fuel. It doesnt gain you any power, it just allows you to push your setup further.

Couldn't fathom saying it better myself. I couldn't agree more.

You agreed with me on the usage of the term "street tune." Also, you've thrown the term ultimate street car out like a million times, as the direction of your dsm build.

Wow, chris you're getting more and more defensive, when im not attacking your car in anyway. I was merely putting my opinion out there and I've given you nothing but props.
I don't have a problem with n2o used in a street tune, and that's chemically altering the fuel/air mixture.
But like i said, before that you completely ignored, is that 110 isn't widely available. After your 110 runs out driving 300 some miles in one direction.. you're left stranded ( assuming that was your street tune ). Whereas if you had a 93 oct tune, you could just fill up at any gas station and be on your merry.
