I will let him own himself as the rest of the LSx community knows otherwise and disagrees with him.

Yes the 98-00 have the LS1 intake and the 01/02 have the LS6 intake with different cams.

Need I gone on owning your dumbass? Please keep replying and showing your ass even more. I think Tooquickformost needs to give up that 3 year crown he has

okay buddy you can come look at my oem SS hood, and if you can honestly tell me that the hood makes 10hp you can have it.

You are going off of options. If you think you are going to see a performance gain in a 01-02 over a 98-00 you would be dissapointed.

Okay Im sorry I didnt play the little kid word games like you guys here.

The ls1 hp rating never changed a reasonable amount to make a difference in any of the years performance. Adding a lid and a different exhaust is not changing the engine.

Hey dumbass I am going off the HP ratings released by GM. In 2001 the F-Bodies got a 5 hp bump you fucking retard.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...let_camaro_ss/
Notice 320 hp for the 00 SS and now read below for an 01

Yet for 2001 this is what I find
The 2001 Camaro SS comes with a 325 HP LS1 V-8 5.7 Liter engine with a four speed automatic transmission. (You can order it with a six-speed manual.) The 2001 Camaro Z28 only has 310 HP with the same engine.

Backpeddaling are we? Now it went from HP never changed to HP didnt change a reasonable amount. Which is it? The Lid never changed throughout the years, it was the same stock one. Are you letting a FORD guy own you?

...also while not part of the engine, let's not forget the move to better flowing manifolds in 2K or 2K1... I know they changed AFTER '99, but if I remember correctly the 01-02s outflowed the 00s by a bit...

How is the ls6 block better?

Better flowing heads yes.

better flowing intake manifold yes

smaller cam yes.

smaller injectors yes.

The only ls1 I would avoid would be the 98, due to the cpu for it being a known pain to tune for.

Other than that 99-02 are all going to be the same....inside and out.
