I highly doubt the one in the magazine can do 12 flat...shit, R & T tested the Z06 at 12.8...and the Z06's 0-60 time (3.9) is almost a whole second faster than the elise.

Those numbers don't make any sense, and dont give me any of that physics crap.

 

who cares what it runs 0-60 when comparing to quarter mile.. there are so many variables for each car to compare a 0-60 and 1/4 time.. just 1 example.. 400 tq car will probably beat a 133 tq car off the line.... HMMMMMMMMM

 

Do you people not understand about the power to weight thing? First you clung to the damn yo 1900 lbs and 190 hp it must be a beast. Corvette beats it at 7.7 lbs per hp. Well well, road and track tested one (funny, since they arent in the states yet) and it ran a 12.0 flat. Riiiighht. So the z06, with more torque and a better hp-2-weight ratio runs slower times than the gokart with a winshield. And then the handling. You base no facts to back that up at all.

FACE IT. THE Z06 WILL BEAT THE ELISE IN EVERY CATEGORY EXCEPT PERHAPS SLALOM OR AUTOX BECAUSE OF ITS VAST WEIGHT DIFFERENCE.

The lotus coming to america is great. it'll still get beat by the Z-06. the american version will no doubt be a little less than what the rest of the world gets. okay what's your point?

if you want something to argue about look at the GT-40 compared to any new Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo in the performance to $$ ratio.

and as far as it's target buyer they're right on. this car wasn't meant to go head to head against the Z-06. it was mean to go against the Z4, Boxter, S2000 and TT. and as far as thoes go, it will destroy them...

 

They really need to knock the price down to at least somewhere in the 20k range if they plan to sell any of those to anyone but hardcore british sports car fans. It is basically a stripped down race car, and they will not sell that to many people for 41k, when you can buy something with power everything, AC, 4 doors and a sunroof and still hang with it easily for less than 35k.
