OK great.....

 

Im signed up for hpde1. Ill be there in an rsx-s hoping to have some fun. Anyone have some helpful tips besides car prep they want to share? Ive read the basics about bringing water, ducktape, and some tools.

 

Bring clothes for every weather type. My first event it was supposed to be like 85 degrees and sunny. It ended up being 45 degrees and raining.

Bring extra socks and shoes just in case its raining. I dont know about NCCAR, but VIR's paddock is mostly sand/rocks, and there are puddles everywehre when it rains. I HATE HATE HATE wet feet, and had to run to the walmart in Danville halfway through the weekend to buy a pack of socks and a cheap pair of shoes.

Bring Sunscreen.

Also, How does NASA work with transponders? Will i have to rent on at the track? How much should i bring if needed?

 

There is no timing in HPDE so you won't/don't need a transponder.

 

Ill be there also, already registered, HPDE1 with the Civic. First HPDE will be at CMP in Feb
