And yes it's amazing what people want, that they don't/can't/never will even qualify for. Then say I'll just go somewhere else and won't come off the car, end up in a rebuilding loan, and don't even pay that.

But, on a lease, on a Legacy GT
I'm where I need to be on payment.
Unfort. I do a good 20,000mi. a year
So I'll need to figure out how to not do that

Taking a week or two to think about my financial situation, if all checks out i'll be leasing a wrx ltd.
I'd like the legacy but the residual on a wrx is much better.

As long as you plan on dropping it off at the end of your term you only finance a portion of the car.
For instance on a WRX Limited, you might finance around 16k of it. Then your buy out at the end of the lease is let's say 14k on a car that stickers at 27k. So if you were to buy it out instead of refi, you would actually pay less then you would if you financed. Now if you refinance it. It's a different story. If you refi'd at a decent interest rate you'd end up paying about 16k instead of the buy out of 13. In which case you would have paid 33k. Which in the end result actually ends up being close to the same as if you would have just financed the whole thing. Infact if you financed the whole thing at 4.9% at a 72 month term you'd be around 32k. But it makes the payments affordable, and if you don't keep cars it's an excellent option. Or if you just can't afford the one you want. Sure you might end up paying a very tiny amount more, but not much if any
The Tc is better looking. The SS is faster. Hah if you think you'll probably end up selling either one sooner rather than later...keep the Tc and save a little money. The SS is definitely faster, I don't know anything about the motor though- is is a proven motor? Or a new motor?
