Your caps lock key is broken ... and you're not making sense.

In general smaller turbos have less lag, so if you have 2 smaller turbos compared to on large one. The large one some how has less lag?

The reason you go single has nothing to do with power or lag. It's usually cost.

That's only partially true. Twin turbos usually make more power at lower engine speeds, while single turbos will make more top end power while compromising low end power. Lag is really not an issue to debate; it usually comes up re: twin turbos, but can be remedied by running them non-sequentially.

Performance-wise, both can be great street and track-driven setups. It just depends on each particular vehicle and driving demands. You don't see many cars straying from factory designs, except for Supras; which it is very common to see a TT converted to single turbo. Why so common? Probably because somebody made the conversion possible, made it marketable, and is continuing to bank off of it. You can build equally great cars from either setup.

I chose the single route for several reasons.
1) I've seen similar number for this twin turbo setup in Japanese RX7 magazines... not very impressive. A car running 14psi with the Trust twin setup on an average motor was only getting ~315rwhp. I'm looking for WAY more than that.
2) I want to keep the cost down. Not only now, but in the long run. Instead of having to upgrade two turbos, I only have one. There's alot more selection out there for the standard T04 flange as well.
3) Common knowledge and tech support for the single turbo setup. I fear what others (and myself) do not know. I don't have the money to experiment with fuel maps, timing and etc for a twin turbo setup... i.e. a new motor.

if this is true, then why does one of japan's premiere RX7 tuners-RE AMEMIYA put single turbo upgrades on his 13B-REW RX7....not all though...
