Tuning on a ecu flash with a 35r is hard for other shops... easy for DTM though. Nick holds multiple HP records for flashes on stroked, destroked 2.3, 2.2, 2.1, 2.4 engines, 50trim, 35, 37, 40, 42R turbo's. Almost to the point where you don't need a standalone unless you're doing some SERIOUS racing and not some weekend fun.

Their racing record shows just how careless they really are with multiple 1st places and currently the east coast Time Attack champs 3 years strong... Oh yeah and the NASA TTR Champs second to no one.

But to he his own.
42r? your fucking kidding right?

Sure, you can tune any setup you want on the stock ecu, but you will reach a point where the scaling is going to be so stupidly out of the realm of reality that the car is nothing more than a drag car. Its stupid, like a band-aid over a 50cal hole in your torso or something.

I've never seen any hp records by his flashes....I've been on the evo forums for over 3 years, I remember reading about the whole up north deal(which I'm gonna leave out cuz I don't want to hear the whining), but I've never seen anywhere on there where he set records with a flash. There's no way, he tunes too conservative(not a bad thing, btw..) to set records, unless hes like half the other shops out there and cranks boost for the dyno.

Another thing, if it was the fault of a local dealership why did DTM give him "the hookup" with a cracked housing t-case that leaks until they rebuilt his? Not to mention I think one of the guys there pretty much told him to forget it that he was on his own...and then 180'd to say they were gonna take care of it?

yo... i think you have your stories mixed up... I've spoken to juan in person about that situation. You need to double check your info.

Don't get bent out of shape man... injector scaling is the hardest part. You show me someone that can scale a 37r or larger in this area other than nick.

as far as his ordeals up north. It was settled in court. Nick worked hard to clear his name in the past 3 years. You don't know and only know through word of mouth. We all know how that spins.

all I'm sayin is that... look at your options...

Yeah... I'm sure that DTM gave him a crack t-case housing on a customer that has brought him so much business. Yeah... cuz that's good business.

Well no hard feelings though...

But I hear tunes brake T-cases these days though... LMAO

I've talked to Juan myself as well. And yes, the housing was cracked, I put it in. So yeah, your right, that is good business.

I agree, injector scaling can be difficult, but it has nothing to do with the turbo size....there are many many people in this greater area that can do the work just fine, don't hype something up to make it sound better. All I was saying is trying to tune a high HP car on the stock ecu and maf is rediculous. If you have the money to go that far with the car, and are wanting to use it to its potential, you should step up to the plate and at least get something. Fcon, ems, Siebels new system if he'd ever release it ;-)

I'm not worked up, and I'm not taking anything out on you, so no worries. I just don't want all the nutriders trying to pressure people into taking there cars there, and thinking that Nick is the baddest shit alive. Regardless of the dealings with up north, the cars that were fucked up from that shop, and that shops tuning..(wait who tuned there again?...) still go on to tell their tale.

Anyways, I'm done with this. Rock on

Not sure if he works there or not, but he drives/drove one of their sponsored cars. It was the black one that was not the one-piece front. I think that is right, right? Were you the one driving the car the first year at GT live, I *think* it was 50t/stock 2.0 powered, right?

Wait Brian....you didn't come to VIR, I forgot you only like to go straight

Wait a fucking minute. So brian goes to ams, has very shitty and unprofessional service, not to mention a bill that would make me cry and yet when I mention DTM I'm a "nutrider".
Who the fuck is pressuring anybody to do anything? The help I received was nothing less than what I would have expected, I don't know what Juan says about DTM or if he "pressures" anybody to go there, all I am saying is I like Nick. He is a straight forward guy and in my opinion will conduct business in a far more appropriate fashion than ams (taking into account the story from brian of course). Take that for a grain of sand for all I care, but dont judge. (brian) If you are skeptical check it out first then commit but once again I urge you not to judge. Contrary to popular belief no one is holding a gun to your head..

Brian - the horror story you told me about ams makes my experience at DTM seem like heaven. Nick has personally worked with me and in my opinion conducts business in a very professional manner. I only mention DTM simply because I have had nothing but good things come from them. Whatever it was that caused your car to die once again is not necessarily the issue at hand. All I saw was you wanted to do a "Street" tune to get your car running right AFTER spending all that time and effort hauling your car up state only to have them shit on you. Seems to me like your getting an attitude when all I'm trying to do is give you advice. Once again I have nothing but good things to say about Nick at DTM regardless of what anyone else thinks. Anywho, do what the fuck you want.. you always have and I assume you always will. Just don't fucking make it look like I'm some kind of fanatic thats shoving a business down the throats of my friends.

What the fuck ever, zai's car just caught on fire and burnt to the ground while I got two tickets taking him to breakfast shortly after. sigh...
