If the shift linkage needs to be adjusted, it shouldn't cost you anything if you're doing the work yourself. However, if you have to take it to a transmission shop to fix it, I'd probably guess around 2 hours labor. That'd be about $150, give or take some.

Sure it will probably take them less than that, but I doubt they will consider it worth their time unless they charged 2 hours minimum.
