help: electronic speed sensor on a cable tranny
Ok I have a ys1 cable tranny. I am unclear about the origins of the tranny but I believe it is either out of a 92 or 93 Integra gsr, or a Crx Xsi. The serial number is ys1 -1004642 if somebody knows where I can find out...
Well anyways it is going with an ls swap in a 96 civic so I will need to switch the mechanical speedo with an electronic one. Apparently people do this all the time, but my case there is a problem...
This is what they look like when next to eachother, the ys1 speed sensor is on the left, the 95 civic speed sensor is on the right...

This is just a pic of the ys1 speed sensing unit.

This is a pic of the 95 civic electronic speed sensing unit. Does it matter that it was taken from an auto tranny?

Please somebody who has done this before, did you have to deal with anything like this?

I figured it out. The vss sensor on an auto tranny has a different bolt pattern and is of course a completely different shaped unit. Problem solved...
