vtec and speedometer cuts out???

sometimes i'll start my car up and start to drive and i will notice that my speedometer is not working. i get on it and see if it's just sticking....nope, vtec doesn't work either. i am just wondering if ya'll have any ideas. I was going down gettin on it on 264 and was around 6,000 rpm when i noticed vtec wasn't kicking in....then the car started to bog....vtec/speedometer in...vtec/speedometer out...vtec/speedometer in...vtec/speedometer out... kind of fucked up, huh?

any ideas??

Have you checked your oil level?(I know if you don't have enough oil in the motor than vtec will not engage all of the time) & maybe your speed sensor could be bad?

well maybe it was the oil level...I just changed my oil and it has been working. We'll see how long it lasts. Where is the speed sensor located on the tranny?

LoL!......Don't let it get that low again! You don't wanna come close to damaging your motor because of low oil! I made that mistake once! Just keep an eye on your oil!
