anyone here tried these simple tips with or without baffles?

im looking to put one on my SV fighter.

does not having an exhaust can (back pressure) affect a Vtwin more or less than the in line 4's?

I actually JUST put a pair of those on a 'busa yesterday. They are baffled, so they're not STUPID loud, definately a bit louder than a typical slip-on though. I didn't put it on the dyno so I have no idea what it really sounded like at normal speeds under a load.

what year is your sv? you're probably going to have to play with carb/power commander settings a lil bit to get it run 100% clean (no stumbles/hesitation/etc) but it's not that big a deal.

for 60 bucks, it's a cheap way to get some sound out of your bike. probably not the best performance wise, but you're spending a quarter of the money that you would on a typical slip-on, so you can't expect THAT much.

a plain jane hollow slash tip for a ZX12 was $250 at ron ayers. WTF!?!?

i do like the sound of no pipe, but after a while it sucks just humming at highway speed.
plus im sure it's losing alot of power.

my remedy in the meantime was to modify the yosh RS3 i have by making it into a shorty and putting a thin layer of fiberglass in.

louder than OE but it's starting to get quiet (to me) the more i ride.

sooo i was looking to get a slash for the looks mainly.. and hopefully get one that wasnt just a clipped hollow soda can.
