i finallly got my car running yesterday after i put my buil togather, it was running perfect then my buddy locked my keys in my car while it was running, so while it was running he unplugged the wire harness from the distributor and the car turned off. so when my spare key got there i went to start my car and it wont even turnover, its like the car is dead. i checked the started its fine,all the starter signal fusses and still nothin. i mean when i got to start the car everything comes on like it suppose to but when i try to start it just clicks one time like i can here the srater poping out tryin to engage.

What can it be

 

Honestly, I had the a similar problem, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. But like I've said on here a couple times, go look at a Chilton or Haynes, they usually cover things like this in them.

 

Can you pop the clutch?

 

^^^ do that and tell us whats up. if you can't pop the clutch, sounds like you need to kill your buddy. Why didn't you pull the main relay fuse? that shuts everything off.
