VIRGINIA BEACH -– A 19-year-old mother and her 18-month old son were abducted this afternoon in the Brandon neighborhood by two men armed with an AK-47.
Police said the mother and child were last seen in a green four-door 1993 Pontiac Bonneville with Virginia license plate JWV-3824. The car belongs to the victim.
They were taken in the 1600 block of Dylan Drive.
The victims were identified as Lynnette J. Briley, sometimes known as Lynnette Discalo. She is described as a white woman, about 5-foot-2 and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has shoulder-length hair that was wornin a bun today. She was wearing black dress with white top.
Her won was identified as Jayden Discalo. He has blond hair, brown eyes, weighs about 24 pounds and was wearing a gray one-piece outfit.
Police spokesman Rene Ball said the suspects are two black males. One was about 19 years old, about 5-foot-10 and 145 pounds, with light skin and scruffy facial hair. He wore blue jeans and a white T-shirt and was armed with an AK-47.
The second suspect was described as about 21 years old, 5-foot-10 with a chubby build and a goatee. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a black ball cap.
Ball said the victims are believed to be with the suspects in the car.
