steering colum is shakin

Default steering colum is shakin

ok..i have a 91 jeep (i know..i finaly got one) and its just about dead but yeah anyway...my steeling colum shakes like a mother fucker...not like alignment but like if im in the car standing still, i can move the steering colum...its more or less loose as a bitch...how do i make it...not loose thanks (sorry about teh spelling) Cliff

you can tie rope around it and connect it to tha dash....

lol good point but this is realy bad...like to the point where its scary to drive so i think just fixing it compleatly is the thing to do

sounds like your rack and pinion or tie rod ends...

a motor mount wouldn't account for the loose sterring wheel but definetly the vibrations...

but im more than likely wrong if his wheel is loose. because it being loose would account for the vibration because it isnt being held in place.

is it just cuz u need a tune up and it just so happens only your steering column shakes instead of your whole car
