If so, if mitsubishi kept the engine code true then it should be able to be put in with little problems. I haven't had the opportunity to look closely at one, so who knows.

Its gonna be hard to get an answer this early in the game. Nobody has that much experience with them yet.

it can be done, but it will be a shit load of money.

the motor mounts are not the same 1st of all. you'd have to redo all of the electronics.

bottom line on this one, if you have to ask, then you can't do it.

 

I wasn't going to do it myself...friend of mine is swaping an Evo III into his 95 GST and I was just wondering what my options were.

 

well the evo 5 is when mitsubishi switched the mounting direction of the engines. you nevered answered which generation eclipse. I'm guessing you are talking about the 2g since you said talon, also. If I wre you I would look into a 4g92 mives or a 6a12 engine in a eclipse. That would be interesting to see.

EVO 5 isn't a 4G63? I know that the EVO III can go into a 1G, but it is just like putting a 7-bolt 2G into a 1G. The 4G63 EVO III should go into a 2G pretty straight. As for the V if they turned the block that year then you are in for a lot of crap. This also depends on if you meant N/A 1.8, 2.0 4G63, or 2.0 420A. -Ian
