Default spark plugs

does anyone know where the spark plugs on subarus are located? 97 subaru legacy in particular! thanks for the help in advance.

They're on the head, 2 on each side of the engine. They're a lot of fun..

not on a 2.2, they are actually pretty easy to get to on the earlier designs. once they went to the DOHC design of the 2.2/2.5/3.0 they became a little harder to get to, but still not too bad. if you have issues with getting the right length extension to bite onto the socket, simply remove the two engine mount studs and raise it up a wee bit.

goddamn, you want someone to come up there and do it for you also? follow the fucking plug wires, and where they stop is where the plugs are.


or, just follow the plug wires, grab a hold of one, and have someone fire the car up with it disconnected and still in your hand. that is a faster way to change the plugs.
