Default tryin to get gas out of tank

didnt know if this was the correct place to post this so dont flame me if im wrong, but my friend has a 94 accord, its been sitting for 3 years with a full tank of gas( i dont know why he toppped it off before letting it sit that long) but my questions are these...first off we had a hand pump and fed al the hose into the gas tank and we are just getting little tiny spurts of gas so we tried movin it around and its hit and miss(pumped for half hour and got less than a quarter of a gallon) so is there anything that will pump faster and also any tricks anyone knows for actually findin the gas cause we werent hittin the right spot.......or are we just fucked and have to be extremly patient

correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you access the tank from the back seat if you remove the pump like every other honda? Flash light and a battery powered kerosene siphon will empty a tank in about 5 minutes through the access hole.

I had the same problem with my car. i just pulled of the fuel pump cover and disconnected the fuel pump connector and jumped 12 volts to it and let it run the grimy fuel out (and promply replaced the fuel filter). I wouldve had to pull my entire rear subrame and all that so i just said screw it and made my fuel pump do the work for me. Disconnected the fuel line to the motor and got a couple of buckets. thats was my method. either which way, its a pain in the ass if your tank is too much of a bitch to be worth it.
