when in reverse, pulling out of a parking space or something... theres a chattering, kind of like a heatshield rattle, but deeper...


i checked all the heatshields and nothing is within 2" of the exhaust...



i read somewhere it could be a bad spring on the clutch? is this definitely clutch related?

stock clutch, about 80k miles on it... grabs fine 1st-5th gear

 

clutch engaged or disengaged? throw out bearing possibility. on 3000gts its known as chatter happens all the time when the clutch is disengaged and just idleing.

 

check the input shaft bearing
