is the half shaft and intermediate shaft from an automatic ls tranny longer than the shafts from a manual?

i went to put the half shaft into my ef, it fits but the bracket from the half shaft is not matching up with the bolt pattern in the block. it looks like it needs to go in about another inch, inch and a half.

i put it up against my friends underneath his car and it appeared that it was longer. just need some confirmation.

not sure but the length but i know you cannot use it...it wasn't the fact the lenght it was how far it came away from the block...the bracket that bolts on to the motor was either too far or too short from the motor(i forget which one)...the automatic tranny bracket is different from the manual bracket that bolts up to the tranny...we tried this and we couldn't mount it up since the spacing was different for the manual and auto...
