As the title states. I'm looking for a stock headunit from a 96-98 Civic EX/LX/HX that came equipped with keyless entry. My car came with an aftermarket H/U already installed, and I'm trying to get keyless entry back. Please let me know what you have.

 

i dunno if they're the same, but i just took my cd player out of my '99 civic ex with keyless, but my keyless entry still works after i installed my alpine.

 

I wish man. 96-98 has the transmitter inside of the OEM headunit and are the years that lose keyless entry when aftermarket units are installed. 99-00 didn't have this problem. I appreciate the offer though.

Hey, I have the stock radio head unit your looking for that you use for keyless entry, and also to keep your keyless with the aftermarket cd player my boy has the wiring for that also if you want to work something out with him on that, but anyways im located out in richmond if your intrested

 

I have the actual security module. All you would need is the oem stereo then

I'm not sure what you mean by just the security module. On 96-98, the module is integrated into the headunit. Are you talking about just the module, like in the 99-00 years?

 

actually the security module that were talking about is an additional accessory that you buy...you attach it to a spare green harness behind the cd player, and it also is used with the stock headunit/keyless system.....
