ok ive heard a million people on here and on honda-tech say that u can run type r cams in a b16 and be ok.Well ive had them in my car for about a month now, havent had any problems yet but i was told yesterday that it would trash my head after a short while.A guy said he did it and it messed up his head shortly after.I dunno if he had a bad head to begin with or wat.Wat im tryin to figure out is if this is true.Will it mess ur head up,and who has this setup and how long have people had it with no problems.I would appreciate all info,Thanks.

 

The guy that told you this info, is he credible? Both ITR's and B16's come with PR3's but the ITR has dual valvesprings and slight porting.

So he could be an idiot and you are getting worried? If you want piece of mind, just upgrade your springs.

 

lol yea he could be ,i plan on upgrading later down the road im workin on a build now im just trying to find out if anyone has had this problem or not

 

the cam can not "trash the head" it might beat the valve train out of it. i would upgrade to double springs and call it a day. while you are there, check your guides and seals.

 

And until then, try not to bounce off the rev limiter in every gear.
