Default Harrisonburg VA Mazda MX-5 06+

Is there anyone here with a 06+ [NC] MX-5 that would be willing to let me take a look at their shifter? I would like to see if it will fit in my transmission since it has a shorter through and supposedly I have nearly the same transmission.

Thanks.

What car do you have?Have you done any research on forums specific to your car?Sounds like it's pretty straightforward,so there should be somebody who knows.

.......Orrrr,visit a Mazda dealership? They've got about twenty of the hairdressermobiles at the dealer here.

I have an RX-8, 2009. The new model switched transmissions and not too many people have them. The consensus is it should work fine. The new models have a modified MX-5 NC transmissions. I think mainly they added the 6th gear and changed the ratios. I've sen pictures and it looks as if it will just slide right in, though I want to be absolutely sure before I spend the money on it.

No one on the forums knows for sure if it will fit since no one is modding the 09 and not too many people have them.
