throwing codes
I have a 96 civic coupe with a mini me swap. Every 2 days or so my check engine light will pop on and throw a vtec oil pressure switch code. Anyone know why this is happening??

Re: throwing codes
I don't own a Honda nor do I act like I know everything about them. This is just my $.02. It may be the oil sending unit in your car going bad. Just replace the oil pressure switch, its prolly just faulty and finally took a shit on you.

Re: throwing codes
Check your switch wiring, the pressure switch is right near your vtec solenoid.. You can check the switch with a multimeter like any other switch, and see if it conducts when it's supposed to. Actually I think it's normally closed and opens during proper pressure, I don't remember. The factory manuals have a really good troubleshooting section for those..
