Default GSR Sleeves

I'm trying to find out the limits of stock b18c1 sleeves. I was running a t3/t4b at 15psi and JE 9.0 to 1 pistons, eagle rods, ARP suds with a decent tune and had no problems until the motor sucked up some water. Anyway, I was going to sleeve the block with a Darton MID kit, but don't have the money. I got another GSR block and am going to try it again. I want to know what is possible with the stock sleeves. How much boost/hp and what was your setup. Also did you use a blockguard?

I have seen a couple of 500whp Integras and Civics on stock sleeves, and I have seen plenty in the 350-425whp range. If you stick with the stock sleeves, have the car tuned with a standalone, and stay away from block guards. What are your horsepower goals?

Well I had it set up at 15 psi and I think it was around 350whp. Never had it on a dyno, but it ran 13.4 at 116mph on street tires. I was using a VAFC/FMU/FPR/450cc injectors/255lph pump setup and that seemed to be working pretty well. Tuning was mostly with Computech EGT and A/F gauge. I may up the boost a few psi, but it really felt nice at 15 pounds. I think 400whp would my goal for this motor, daily driven.

It is all in the tune. The engines can hold 500 whp but in my opinion that is pushing it. A more conservative 350-400 whp is no problem on a properly tuned engine.
