Default Axle bearings

Is there a trick to getting the axle nuts off to change out the wheel bearings on my escort? I tried today and with a 3 ft cheater bar on a 2 ft breaker bar I still couldnt get them to budge. Any suggestions? My impact gun doesnt have nearly the balls to do it either.

Sounds like you gotta get a stronger impact gun...I used to have a crappy one that would do half the things my Ingersoll Rand can do. I got the one that has like 1000lbs in reverse...and havent had a problem getting anything loose yet.

hit it w/ PB blaster a day or two before you are gonna try it again. that shit actually helps. and try to borrow an IR gun from a friend or just see if a local shop will just knock 'em off and put them back on for you to make it easier for you to do it later...
