a proportioning valve and a load sensing proportioning valve are two completely different things.

standard prop valve you buy at a speed shop or online is adjustable, you can correct your brake bias to compensate for driving style, brake configuration, etc.

a load sensing one works kinda like it, but it also has a means of determining the ride height of the vehicle (lower ride height then normal=heavier load, in a normal situation) so that when you are loaded, you get more braking to the rear to prevent a nose dive situation, and when you are empty to prevent the rear wheels from locking up due to no weight on the rear)

but yes, most of them you buy are adjustable (wildwood comes to mind first off) and most every one has 3/16" ports.

any particular reason?

yeah. the rubber boot on mine was missing and rusted the inside of it and caused it to steadily leak brake fluid witch equaled no brakes but i got a new one
