I'm confused as well. You were on 581 Southbound and came to the elm ave. ramp where you made a left at the light, correct? The officer was sitting at the light on the elm ave bridge facing comm. hospital?

If I remember correctly, the light is on the other side of the intersection and from that angle the officer can easily see the what color light you have.

When you went through the light the cop made a u-turn and pulled you over? Were you sitting at a red light on the ramp or was it green from the time you pulled on the ramp?

My brother got a ticket in Radford for running a light. He was in the intersection when the light turned yellow. The cop did a U-turn and pulled him over. He went to court with my cousin who was in the car. Told the judge what happened and he said running the yellow is the same as running a red light. Even though he was already in the intersection when the light changed, he did not care. He had to pay the $200 fine and got the points which I believe is the same as a Reckless ticket and had to take the driving class. That was also his first ticket.

Uhhh... If he was across the road he can judge it by the opposite light. I don't quite understand the story, but looks like he is in trouble. Unless the judge is just real nice. When you have a chance of a reckless charge, I'd get a lawyer. If you are just really broke, hire me. I'll defend you cheap.

So explain to me why he can't judge when the light is changing by the opposite light? I'm no expert, just a student of the law. Always good to learn something new.
