I've had the same thing happen with exhaust. Got hte ticket 3 week previous then paid it and got pulled over 3 days after payin it, did i bitch though, no. I knew it was illegal so nothing i can complain about. I was able to get out of 2 exhaust tickets though stating i had just bought the car and it came with it. So yea i got yanked 4 times last yr alone for it.

I feel this guys pain, even though tint isnt my kind of thing, tinting your car no matter how light is another part of modding a car.....the guys saying its his fault and shit just are being assholes trying to make him feel bad, trying to be internet dicks. Theres no need for that.

35% all around for me...only been stopped 2-3 times for it and that was a long time ago.

 

Let me explain my self real quick about the tint. When i first bought the car in 99 I liked the car with no tint. My car got broken into 3 times with no tint. My boy from b-more told me i should get tint so its alot harder for would be thieves to look into the car so it won't be as attractive and make everything noticeable. So that is the reason for tint. Yea FFX police is doing there job but sometimes they are also out there just to make there quota for the month.

For example:

Last year I got a ticket because my front license plate was not bolted down. The license plate was zip tied to my front bumper and i have asked a state trooper if that was ok and he said it was fine and the cop was just being dick. The plate was visible in plain view. So I got a ticket for that. Then he gave me a ticket because my car was to low. He measured my car with me (Big Boy) in it and he measured 14.5 inches and he told me the the law is 15 inches and he gave me a ticket for that. When he gave me both tickets, he walked away and hi-fived the other cop and started laughing and talking.

That was a situation that really pissed me off and I know for sure that those tickets were quota tickets!

Personally my opinion go's, if you mod cars you gotta feel this guys pain becuase if you've been doing it for a while you know what this guys been through... I know i got a shit load of stupid VA law tickets, like exhaust tickets for example....

Damn if you dont like the tickets, get your tint redone....I got a tint ticket 2 weeks ago and Im not bitching, I know its illigal, but i also know why virginia doesnt want us to have dark tint. When I lived in Miami a couple cops got shot when they walked up to a car when they pulled someone over and they couldnt see inside the cars, the windows just rolled down and there was a gun. Its not that cops are being assholes, its a safety thing too.
